Description:

This script ensures that all YouTube videos play at the user's selected speed. Works with both YouTube Videos and YouTube Music.

Features:

  • Lets you save a preferred playback speed.
  • Automatically sets playback speed to your choice.
  • Uses an UI menu for easy quality selection. [New]
  • YouTube allows 0.25x to 2.0x speeds natively
  • Html speed controller allows 0x to 16x speeds

Notes:

  • Works with YouTube in all languages.
  • Works with YouTube videos that are embedded in other sites.
  • Videos such as Shorts do not have speed options natively and will need to use "Bypass Native Controller" mode to force its playback speed.
  • Changing speed cannot be done on embedded sites. Go to the YouTube website when you want to change your speed preferences.
  • Speed applied by the script can be temporarily overridden through the native YouTube UI.

Compatibility:

  • Explicit support for Apple systems/software (macOS/iPadOS/iOS) is not provided. The script may still work, but do not be surprised if it doesn't.
