SkyMods Downloader for Steam (Improved)

This userscript enhances the Steam Workshop experience by adding a convenient download button directly to mod pages. It allows users to download mods from Skymods.ru and Modsbase.com with a single click, eliminating the need to navigate to external websites.

Original Functionality:

The original script by Namkazt ([email protected]) provided a basic download feature, checking for mod availability on Skymods.ru and providing a download link if found. If the mod wasn't available on Skymods.ru, it provided a link to a request form.

Improvements Implemented:

This updated version significantly improves the original script with several key enhancements:

  • Direct Download Links: The script now directly fetches and uses the download link from Modsbase.com, making the download process more efficient and reliable.
  • Seamless Steam Integration: The download buttons are now fully styled to match the Steam interface, providing a more cohesive and visually appealing experience. The button is placed conveniently next to the Steam subscription button.
  • Improved Filename: The downloaded file's name is now derived from the mod's actual title (extracted from Skymods.ru), rather than just using the mod ID. The filename is also sanitized to ensure compatibility with various operating systems.
  • Batch Download: Batch Download Collections

This enhanced script offers a smoother, more integrated, and more user-friendly way to download mods from Skymods.ru and Modsbase.com directly within the Steam Workshop.
