Reddit Default Sort UserScript

Overview

This is a UserScript that automatically redirects Reddit to your preferred sort order (e.g., new, hot, top, best, rising) for both the home page and subreddit pages. It also includes a settings menu that allows you to configure your preferred sorting options easily.

This script is a UserScript port of the Default Sort for Reddit extension.

Features

  • Automatically redirects Reddit's home page and subreddit pages to your preferred sorting order.
  • Supports best, hot, top, new, and rising sorting options.
  • Provides a settings UI to customize your preferred sorting behavior.
  • Includes a "Sort Settings" button for easy access.

Usage

  • Once installed, the script will redirect the Reddit homepage and subreddit pages to the configured sorting order.
  • Click on the "Sort Settings" button (found in Reddit’s UI) to change your preferences.
  • Your preferences are saved and applied automatically.

Permissions

  • GM_getValue and GM_setValue: Used to store user preferences.
  • @match *://*.reddit.com/*: Grants access to all Reddit pages for redirection.
