YouSnatch

This script adds a download button to YouTube videos, enabling users to snatch MP4 and DASH video/audio streams. The script provides both basic and advanced modes, allowing users to download the highest quality video or select specific video and audio streams.

Features

  • Basic Mode: Snatch the highest quality MP4 video available with one click.
  • Advanced Mode: Select specific video and audio streams (DASH mode).
  • Mode Switching: Toggle between basic and advanced modes.
  • Instant Downloads: No expiration on downloads, and the links are shareable.

Installation

This script works with userscript managers such as ViolentMonkey or Tampermonkey.

  1. Install a userscript manager like ViolentMonkey or Tampermonkey.
  2. Visit the script page on GreasyFork.
  3. Click "Install" to add the script to your browser.

Usage

Once installed, follow these steps:

  1. Visit a YouTube video page.
  2. You will see a "YouSnatch" button below the video player. Click the button to start the download (in the highest quality by default).
  3. To enable Advanced Mode, click the "Switch to Advanced Mode" button. This mode allows you to select specific video and audio streams for download.
  4. After selecting your video and audio streams, click the "YouSnatch" button to begin the download immediately.

Advanced Mode Options

In Advanced Mode, you can:

  • Choose between different video qualities (e.g., 720p, 1080p, 4K).
  • Select an audio stream (e.g., MP3, AAC) to download separately.

Customization

Feel free to modify the script to better suit your needs. Some examples of customizations include:

  • Adjusting the available download formats.
  • Changing the styling of buttons and dropdowns.
  • Modifying the script to automatically download the highest quality by default.
