Quicker and more reliable "random comic" button

Replaces the "random comic" functionality for the XKCD comic. It has these advantages over the native solution:

  • Much faster!
  • Never mysteriously fails
  • Doesn't get broken by SSL issues

XKCD's native solution relies on a separate server app on a separate domain, which introduces the potential for mysterious downtime or SSL/TLS misconfiguration. (I mean, what do you expect from a cartoonist? Magical rainbow code? Flying pixie cloud servers? You expect too much!)

Extra fun

  • It changes the color of the random button, so you know it's active. It always uses your favorite color, so long as your favorite color is orangered.
  • It may occasionally try to load comics from the future, since it knows you're anxious to read them.
  • It may avoid choosing a few of the most recent comics, since it knows you've already read them recently.
