How It Works

  • This script allows you to control YouTube’s video volume by scrolling your mouse wheel while hovering over the video player.
  • No need to click on the small volume control — just hover and scroll for quick volume adjustments.

Compatibility

  • Works on all YouTube pages when a video is playing (including default view, theater mode, and full screen).
  • Fully functional in both light and dark mode on YouTube.
  • Positioned at the top center of the player, always visible but unobtrusive.

How to Install (using Violentmonkey)

1. Install Violentmonkey Extension:

  • Go to the Violentmonkey website.
  • Install Violentmonkey for your browser (works with Firefox, Chrome, and Edge).

2. Install the Script:

  • After installing Violentmonkey, click the “Install this script” button on this GreasyFork page.
  • Violentmonkey will automatically add the script to your browser.
  • Once the script is added, refresh your YouTube tab or close it and open a new one to see it in action.
