Addon to highlight seen/unseen/skipped AO3 links across reddit. Also keeps a separate seen/skipped backup that it will provide if it detects cookies were accidentally cleared.

I was going to add this feature to Extend "AO3: kudosed seen history", but compared to AH/DLP/QQ/SB/SV/FFN/HPF/PC/OR Highlight visited fanfics which used its private GM storage to cross-highlight only a few subreddits; any script can read AO3's localStorage. I split it up to keep the script as small as possible and highlight in all subreddits, not just a few.
I passively intercept seen/skipped updates from both AO3: Kudosed and seen history and my Extend... script; and copy them to private GM storage to share across Reddit (I reused the cache-safe storage I wrote for ...highlight visited fanfics to get real-time + back-forward navigation and focus.)
It stops instantly if no ao3 links are found on the page. But if you'd still like to restict it to a few subreddits, edit the commented @include atop the code (disable updates or you will lose that edit on the next update).
Note: New Reddit cannot be supported due to links loading dynamically.
And since the script has a private copy of your seen/skipped ids, it can detect data loss from cleared cookies. Your seen/skipped data will be protected if they have at least 30 entries (the detection threshold is 30+ lost). You will then see this message:
