I've upgraded this to a Chrome Extension!

The problem you described in (1) is now fixed in the Chrome extension. And to change your default blog, here's Tumblr's hidden feature:
1) go to your dashboard
2) click on your blog dropdown menu in the top of the right column
3) drag and drop your blogs to change their order

1. When you try to reblog something on your "Liked" page the default no longer shows as "Queue".
2. I haven't worked out how to change the default blog?
