I am running both this script (Netflix Plus), and the Netflix UHD script together through ViolentMonkey, and Firefox, but neither of them seem to be doing anything advertised.

I made sure to follow the instructions listed on Netflix UHD, and all it seemed to do was make it so sometimes I would have to fully close my browser to get Netflix to play videos again.

Do these scripts not work on ViolentMonkey? Do this scripts just not work on Firefox currently?

If it helps I also don't use browser hardware acceleration as it breaks Netflix partially for what one of the purposes I use it for.

WARNING: If you turn browser hardware acceleration off you will get screen tearing on some sites, and some players e.g. Youtube, but the benefits I find outweigh that minor issue.

Based on current feedback, it appears that ViolentMonkey lacks some essential features compared to Tampermonkey, which causes it to malfunction. It does work on Firefox without hardware acceleration enabled, that’s actually how I’m currently capturing video screenshots from Netflix.

Alright so I re-enabled my Tampermonkey add-on just for the 2 scripts listed, and noticed that when enabling the "Only use best bitrate available" option, it seems to make it so Netflix can play anything. It will always through "Error Code F7111-1309" but seems to work fine without that option enabled.

Also what do the "media.eme.widevine.experiment.enabled, media.gmp-widevinecdm-l1.enabled, media.gmp-widevinecdm-l1.forceInstall, media.gmp-widevinecdm-l1.visible" options do that I would need them set to true?

Another question is does your Netflix UHD script matter if I have my screen resolution set to 1080p, and have the Netflix plan that allows up to 1080, or is that one script pointless unless you have the Netflix 4k plan?

Edit: I just checked ViolentMonkey again, and it seems like the scripts are working properly, and I am able to enable, and disable each option like you can in TamperMonkey, with the only thing missing being the right click menu access (but that isn't a big deal to me). Although it seems to also not be able to work with the "Only use best bitrate available" option.

If you've disabled hardware acceleration or your Netflix plan only supports up to 1080P, then modifying Firefox's about:config settings or using the Netflix UHD script is pointless—just using Netflix Plus alone is sufficient.

I noticed if I enabled everything in TamperMonkey, and set it up, then disabled TamperMonkey, and the scripts, and enabled the scripts in ViolentMonkey, then ViolentMonkey would work perfect. Something in TamperMonkey running the scripts even just for a second, tells ViolentMonkey how to work properly.

Ya, I made sure to refresh the page everytime. In fact I would close, and reopen the browser some of the time. Also I know that you should run the same script on 2 different script managers, which is why I made sure to state that I would disable TamperMonkey, and whatever enabled scripts, but I just forgot to mention that I would also restart the browser, or refresh the page. Sorry about that.

Unfortunately I guess i'm stuck without being able to use the "Best bitrate available" option, but being able to use the 1080p that is being paid for is a massive plus.
