Hello, I've been using this for 6 months now, and as for my experience it is pretty good! Thought I have a request, can you add an external opening book? like for example it shows the arrows based on the chess opening book, and then the arrows will disappear when it is out of that opening. It will be really great if you add these. Thank you!!

By the way, can you explain the way you'd want it to work a bit more? As far as I know opening books usually have lots of different openings, so do you want it to display every opening that you're following moment? That would result in lots of different arrows wouldn't it? (e.g. every opening is active at the default position...) Maybe you only want to display the opening arrow if there wasn't anything else, or you want to select just one opening to display?

That would be great! If I could pick an opening I want that shows the arrows of that opening. But yeah initially I just want the arrows showing the top GM moves for whatever position is on the board. The thicker the arrow, the more GMs played that move. When the position is out of opening book, the arrows disappear. A mode where you can pick a specific opening to follow would be a great addition on top of that too!

Btw, I found these opening books on GitHub (LucasChess GM openings, gm2600, Elo2400, gm2001, Titans), converted them from .bin to JSON and combined them into one file. I also already implemented the feature using your extension with the help of Claude AI (Sonnet 4.6) since I don't know how to code. Here is what I made:

Btw, I haven't added the specific opening filter feature yet where you can choose one opening to follow without showing all the book moves at once. That would be a great addition if you ever implement it :>

Even if you knew how to code, the 4000 line userscript isn't the easiest thing to modify for anyone, lol. Good gravy, I'll have to look into breaking it down into smaller chunks. Claude did a decent job though, damn! I'll keep that repo in mind when I eventually start making the feature.
