Thank you very much for the kind feedback!! Made my day :)
As far as highlighting tags goes, I went ahead and added conditional logic to them (didn't have it before). However, managing multiple highlight colors and groups is a bit out of the scope of this script. As a compromise, I added the option to bold highlighted tags to give them a smidge more visibility. If you really want to make them stand out, I'd recommend targeting your highlighted tags with CSS added to your site skin and changing them to a new color. I do something similar with platonic ship tags in the Rose Pine skin instructions. If you give me the tags you want to change the color of, I can draft something real quick since you're using the Rose Pine skin.
Also, not sure what was wrong with conditional logic and wildcard support in the last update but they should be fixed now.
Thank you so much!!!, conditional logic and wildcard support work very great now, and the new bold option is absolutely brilliant!, made the tags much more spottable and easier on the eye too
i did see the 'platonic ship tags' in the instructions and really loved it (works very beautifully along with your 'Reorder ship tags' script too!), tho i tried to alter the same code on other tag types that include specific texts but failed miserably so i just forgot about it XD (i actually have zero coding knowledge but at least i tried lol ToT)
i wanted to use it in a way that would function like some sort of trigger warning for specific words in tags, relationships, characters or warnings to make them stand out with a darker hue of the tag-type background color, so if you could make like a template of a code to do that so i can just put whatever tags and tag types in it, it would be most helpful!(i apologize in advance for the trouble, i really appreciate it!!)
also a little thing i noticed that would be great if you could look into as well
is that the new bold option applies to only one tag if there were multiple highlighted tags included (specifically the first highlighted tag in the tag order), it would be much better if it applies to all the highlighted tags in the fic.. (also it works only on blurbs, and doesnt apply on the work pages-- but honestly its not a huge problem, i just thought you might want to know)
Hii, thank you for the latest update! i deeply appreciate your amazing work!!
here are a few things i came across (the first two are related to the new update, the rest is not that significant for me personally but thought i'd let you know as well):
https://archiveofourown.org/users/USERNAME *note:if the user has only bookmarks(doesn't have works) on their profile it works finehttps://archiveofourown.org/users/USERNAME/giftshttps://archiveofourown.org/collections/COLLECTIONNAMEHey! Thanks for the bug report. Looks like in fixing one thing I broke several others. Can you upgrade to 4.0.8 and let me know if the issues still persist?
Also, for your custom tag colors CSS I'm afraid it's not super straightforward as me handing over a template and you being able plug in the tag names because they are url encoded (aka %20Found%20Family instead of Found family) and have different classes. I can probably send you a prompt for Claude that will allow you to just list the tags you want colored, but that might take me a bit of time. I have the next few days off so we'll see.
If you're comfortable with it, you're welcome to DM me the exact tag list on Tumblr (using exactly how they are written, case-sensitive and all) and I can mess around with it. Otherwise, I'll look into a prompt.
the update fixed -almost- everything, thanks!
only these two are still the same:
- highlighted tags with conditional logic don't get highlighted in bold on work pages
- blocking/highlighting don't apply on users' series page when they're tagged
, other than that everything is perfectly neat and working great now
and hey you totally don't have to if its that time consuming, it's okay i really didn't mean to trouble you, i just thought it would be a better way to visualize the tags faster, though the bold option is way more than enough actually!
if it would be easier for you i can send you the tags instead, thank you again for everything really
hii, one tiny request..
can you add the option to hide the settings menu to the homepage
and thank you for the update, everything is more than perfect now
INCREDIBLE!! the UI is very easy to navigate and use, very customizable to every detail, and alot of customizations i didn't even know i needed!, i just LOVE IT!!
i literally just made an account to leave a rating and thank you deeply for this amazing work!.. i came across your AO3 Skin 'Rosé Pine' on Tumblr a couple days ago where you mentioned the scripts in the post as well and i decided to check them out, i never used any skins or scripts on ao3 before and i must tell you this took my experience to a whole new level!, i dont even know how did i manage without it all those years ive been on the site!!, your installation instructions were also very clear and easy to follow for a beginner like me and i thank you again for that, YOU ARE AMAZING!
only a little request if possible.., is there a chance you could add the option to highlight different tags(or group of tags) with different custom colors so its easier to recognize which fic is under which tag (or group of tags) without having to read all the tags to know which tags the fic is highlighted for?.. (and for example if the fic has more than one highlighted tag, the highlight strip/line can be those tags' colors stacked like if its 2 tags then half the strip would be in the different colors (if that makes sense) i don't know if its possible but this is just a suggestion, you are to do it however you see fit ofc!)
also one more thing, i don't know if i'm doing something wrong but for some reason the 'wildcard support' feature doesn't work along with the 'conditional blocking' feature, for example:(, *Angst* unless:{*fluff*}) doesn't do anything.
also 'unless/with:{tag}' doesn't work with the 'Highlight Tags' feature either, neither alone nor with the wildcard support like above.. which would be most helpful if it did, especially within the same tag (for example if i want to highlight all fics with the AU tag except if it was 'Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence', it would go like (, *Alternate Universe* unless:{*Canon*})- so i'd love if you let me know if it isn't actually available, or correct me if i'm not doing it right..
and finally thank you so much again for your incredible effort!
