8Chan had a recent update, multiple nested replies are supported natively.
When I use the native one it only takes one reply. If I try to click another reply within that reply, nothing happens. Maybe that's intentional.
Was the case for me too, but once I did ctrl+f5, it started working.
That did the trick!
Nested replies don't work anymore. The settings say to enable the native inline replies, but those only go one level deep, which is pretty useless.
